Metadata/Cataloging

Much of my metadata content overlaps between library, IT and social spheres, so make sure to search across my site, if you are seeking specific topics. Still not finding what you need? Drop me a line, tweet, or message me.  Interested in setting up virtual office hours? I consult on cataloging and holding related projects and challenges, so don't be shy about reaching out to me. I am also very interested in emerging metadata standards.  I'm always willing to brainstorm about best practices via skype or a Google Hangout.

Content created for Lyrasis training, SEFLIN, or Pennsylvania library systems is not included here. Also missing from this site,  is most of the technical writing and procedural documents I wrote or co-wrote at the UGA Libraries. The P+P (Policy & Procedures Manual) is an excellent resource and I'm proud to have had a hand in getting all of those (over 250!) documents written, revised, and digitized.   Prior to my leaving UGA, we were testing various software to increase functionality and organization of the materials. I have also authored technical materials for other projects and libraries including Emory University and Evergreens (Pines).
